Job summary

Southcoast Health System is seeking a Cytotechnologist for their Dartmouth location. This role involves performing technical duties within the Cytology Section of the laboratory, including making interpretations of specimens, preparing specimens for examination, and performing quality control procedures.

Position

Cytotechnologist

Schedule

40 hours per week.

Day shift: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm

Location: Mashpee Cytology – Dartmouth, MA

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director or Manager and clinical oversight by the hospital site Medical Director, perform diversified technical duties within the Cytology Section of the laboratory. Responsibilities include making cytologic interpretations of specimens, preparing and staining specimens for microscopic examination, and performing quality control procedures within the scope of your position.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical or physical sciences and completion of an accredited School of Cytotechnology clinical practicum.
  • A.S.C.P. registration required within one year of graduation.
  • Minimum one year of related work experience.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19 or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement.

Compensation
