Performing analytical procedures which regularly require a professional level of knowledge to execute, interpret, and/or analyze, especially those results which are abnormal or atypical.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor of Science degree.

Minimum Experience Required

One year of supervised clinical experience in an approved clinical laboratory.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law

Certification as a cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or the International Association of Cytotechnologists (IAC).
