Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Cytologist to work full-time days in the Cytology Lab. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates.

As a Cytologist you will perform cytological technical preparations and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for cancer or other pathological changes, following departmental policies. A Bachelor’s degree and ASCP-CT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• ASCP-CT certification required.
• Experience with ThinPrep and gyn cytology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytological technical preparations of specimens.
