Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Cylinder Loader/Sorter in Hammond, IN (2nd shift: 1pm-9:30pm). You will count cylinders, verify lot numbers, load/unload trucks, inspect for defects, and ensure proper handling and storage in a safe, compliant environment.

You will also operate a forklift, perform pre-/post-fill inspections, and maintain filling records while adhering to GMP and quality control standards. A high school diploma or GED is required, with forklift training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good written and customer service skills; effective communication.
• Basic computer ability required.
• Forklift training preferred.
• Ability to read and understand DOT/FDA paperwork; work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Count incoming cylinders, verify lot numbers and load/unload trucks.
• Inspect returned cylinders for surface defects and store them safely.
• Identify and separate defective cylinders to quarantine areas.
• Review and confirm proper calibration of equipment for accuracy and compliance.
• Safely operate a forklift and hand truck for loading, unloading, and material movement.
• Fill cylinders per guidelines and maintain pre-/post-fill records as required by regulations.
