Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) in Cheshire, CT. The role involves safely filling gas cylinders, performing safety checks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. 2nd shift runs 1pm-9:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a $25/hr pay rate.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude. Applicants with SAP/ERP experience and proficiency in Google Suite or MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude essential for handling gas cylinders.
• Prior SAP or ERP experience preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with various units of measure.
• Safety-focused; adheres to Airgas safety programs and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and fill gas products into various cylinders following procedures.
• Perform safety checks, verify cylinder labels, and ensure purity of products.
• Prepare cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling and connect to manifolds.
• Load/unload cylinders and operate forklift or warehouse equipment as needed.
• Maintain records per DOT, FDA, OSHA and Airgas standards.
