Cylinder Filler salary range $26.00 to $27.00 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY
The Cylinder Filler is responsible for safelyhandling and filling gas products into liquid, medical and high-pressure gascylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and meeting TheCompany's standard operating procedures. This position reports directly to theProduction Manager or Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Fillsall gas cylinders, high and low pressure, and liquid containers in accordancewith safety procedures, quality
- Understandshazards of various gases, size and contents of cylinders by reading andinterpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Accurately labelscylinders.
- Complywith safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedureswhich are applicable to this position's responsibilities
- Movementof cylinders as required in the plant. May be required to load and unloadtrucks.
- Completesall documentation and forms in compliance with company policy and FDArequirements during the fill process. Accurately and legibly ensures productsare labeled properly, with current decals and lot numbers. Forms includedaily production report, FDA log sheet, Label Verification form, Calibrationform and Bulk log sheet.
- Testsall gases and documents results on compression log report accurately andlegibly
- Complieswith all government and company standards relating to the safe handling ofhazardous materials/cylinder gases.
- Maintainsa neat, clean and orderly workplace through proper housekeeping procedures
- Monitorsand maintains sufficient stock to meet customer demand
- Monitorsinventory of empty cylinders prepared and ready for filling.
- Maybe required to maintain cylinders and repair filling equipment, such aspigtails, fill hoses, valves and safeties.
- Setstone for employees by good example through observation of the company's lossprevention policies and procedures.
- Adheresto all quality assurance policies and standards
- Reportsaccidents including near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obeys safetyrules.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- 1-3 years' experience in the gas/welding industry as a warehouse workeror a driver required
- Preferred knowledge/experience in gas, weldingand safety supply industry or chemical industry

- Abilityto safely operate a forklift.
- Mustbe able to read and write and perform mathematical exercises of moderatecomplexity.
- Mustbe able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalitiesand backgrounds
- Mustbe able to pushcart 200 + lb. cylinders and bend/lift 50+lb containers.
