Job Description

The position is for Equinox's Seattle locations as a Studio Cycling Instructor. Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
• Adhere to the class description and modify intensity for participants as needed.
• Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout the class.
• Ensure classes begin and end on time.
• Assist members with technical/mechanical support on the bike to maximize their experience.
• Teach classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum.
• Communicate with the Group Fitness Manager regarding member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing.

Qualifications

• Current cycling certification (Schwinn or Stages indoor cycling certifications highly recommended). Certification is not required to audition but must be completed prior to teaching.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations, and ACSM Guidelines for frequency, intensity, duration, and mode.
• Motivation to learn and pursue ongoing professional development and education.
• Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing personality.

Pay Transparency

$60.00–$80.00 per class; $21.30 per hour for non-class work.
