Job Description
The position is for Equinox's Seattle locations as a Studio Cycling Instructor. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
- Adhere to the class description and modify intensity for participants as needed.
- Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout the class.
- Ensure classes begin and end on time.
- Assist members with technical/mechanical support on the bike to maximize their experience.
- Teach classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum.
- Communicate with the Group Fitness Manager regarding member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing.
Qualifications
- Current cycling certification (Schwinn or Stages indoor cycling certifications highly recommended). Certification is not required to audition but must be completed prior to teaching.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations, and ACSM Guidelines for frequency, intensity, duration, and mode.
- Motivation to learn and pursue ongoing professional development and education.
- Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing personality.
Pay Transparency
$60.00–$80.00 per class; $21.30 per hour for non-class work.
