Pharmacy Alternatives is hiring a full-time Cycle Pharmacy Technician in Louisville, KY to join a closed-door, non-retail team serving long-term care and senior living clients.

You will fill prescriptions, label products, prepare medications, and manage data entry and inventory while supporting training and onboarding of staff. Competitive benefits and ongoing career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.
• Work in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room and operate automated machines to prepack medications.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
