Position Summary
The Group Fitness Instructor provides cutting-edge group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. They act as a fitness resource for class participants and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance. The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for consistently meeting daily class attendance goals as well as effectively promoting Life Time programs, products, and services.

Strength Programs
- LIFT: Build Strength — Strength training classes that bring muscles and music together to motivate members to lift more and develop a love of lifting.

- MAXOUT: Maximize your muscles. Minimize your limits — Heavier weights, supersets, and high energy max out challenges to push strength capacity and confidence.
Cardio and Conditioning
- XTREME: Conditioning Challenges to HIIT your goals — High Intensity Interval Training workout.
- REMIXX: Feel Good, Heart Pumping Cardio — High energy cardio with engaging music and choreography.
- BOXING/KICKBOXING: STRIKE — Cardio class with grit and attitude to burn calories and build momentum.
- BARRE: LIFE BARRE — Ballet-inspired movements with high reps to engage muscles with precision.
- CYCLE: AMP — Beat-driven cycling; EDG — rhythm meets results; PWR — endurance on the bike; DANZE — dance-inspired cycling.
Yoga and Mind-Body
- YOGA: Control the reactions of the mind with focused breath and movement.
- SURRENDER YIN, ROOT HATHA, FLOW VINYASA — Yin and Hatha yoga experiences focused on mobility, breath, and stability.
- ARORA: ACCOUNTABILITY. COMMUNITY. POSSIBILITY. Programs for healthy aging and active lifestyles, including options from AQUA to TOTAL BODY.

- SGT: GTX — Cardio, Strength, Results with heart-rate based interval training and coaching.
- ULTRA FIT: Achieve Extraordinary — Short bursts of maximum effort with progressive weekly goals.
- ALPHA: Competitive Grit — Full-body strength and conditioning with progressive, coached workouts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining classes.
- Educate class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.
- Listen to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
- Clean and organize studio space after each class.
- Provide current music for each class that entertains and motivates while ensuring appropriate language.
- Promote Life Time promotions, programs, products, and services while encouraging participation in Life Time classes.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years of fitness instructor work experience
- CPR/AED Certification
- Minimum of one of the following Group Exercise Certifications: NASM, ACE, AFAA, or AEA
- Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class (standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, kneeling)
- Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds
- Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class
