Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies seeks a Cyberspace Analyst 2 at Fort Meade to support a DoD cyber-operations program. This task-lead role requires coordinating a small team, ensuring coverage, and delivering timely reports for the PMO.

The position requires TS/SCI with Poly, mid-level experience, and the ability to lead, review timecards, and participate in weekly Task Lead meetings. Shifts may adjust to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI/Polygraph for consideration
  • Experience coordinating cyberspace operations with DoD components or US Government organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop recommendations and COAs for cybersecurity problems
  • Ability to lead teams in cyber or military operational environments

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact to coordinate coverage for call-outs.
  • Review and approve team timecards by Sunday evening each week.
  • Attend weekly Task Lead meetings.
  • Produce and submit a Monthly Activity Report (MAR) by the last business day of the month.
  • Develop and publish the monthly 24x7 desk schedule.
  • Report daily accountability for all team members to the PMO.

Job Description

Mission Technologies a division of HII - Warfare Systems (WS) provides full-spectrum cyber, EW and space capabilities that address today’s rapidly changing, multi-domain global security threats, and anticipate emerging threats.

The Warfare Systems team is currently seeking a Cyberspace Analyst 2 in support of an exciting new effort supporting one of our clients that is responsible for unifying the direction of cyberspace operations, strengthening DoD cyberspace capabilities, and integrating and bolstering DoD's cyber expertise.

This contract supports ongoing operations within a combatant command. During periods of conflict, crisis, or other significant operational shifts, mission requirements may change rapidly. Additionally, when staffing adjustments occur, work schedules may need to be modified to maintain essential coverage. Accordingly, work shifts may be adjusted based on customer requirements.

This is a task lead position. The applicant must demonstrate the willingness to assume responsibility for leading a team which will include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact to coordinate coverage for call-outs (team members should notify you first).
  • Review and approve team timecards by Sunday evening each week.
  • Attend weekly Task Lead meetings (held every Tuesday).
  • Produce and submit a Monthly Activity Report (MAR) by the last business day of the month – to the PMO.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide written performance feedback for each assigned team member.
  • Develop and publish the monthly 24x7 desk schedule.
  • Report daily accountability for all team members (ensuring their status and reporting to the PMO).

Furthermore, the applicant must demonstrate a history of leading teams in a similar capacity in a cyber or military operational environment.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

Must possess an active TS/SCI/Polygraph for consideration

Preferred Requirements

Experience to include but not limited to:

  • Developing recommendations and COAs to solve complex cybersecurity problems.
  • Coordinating cyberspace operations with DOD Component Commands / Services / Agencies / Field Activities or Intelligence Agencies or Law Enforcement or U.S. Government organizations.
  • Performing research and analysis of cybersecurity capabilities to satisfy data protection requirements.
  • Reporting and presenting intelligence and information to others.
  • Demonstrating expertise on the lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation, the utilization, configuration, and implementation of industry capabilities including web content filters, email security.
  • Coordination and support on cyber-related incidents and issues to include Malware Analysis Reports, Alerts regarding potential malicious activity, and Suspicious Contact Reports.
  • Engaging with FCC or DIB on network protection.
