Job summary

Abacus Solutions in Colorado Springs, CO seeks an Entry-Level Cybersecurity Systems Administrator to assist with desktop, mobile, and network security under senior guidance. The role supports Space Systems Command at Schriever Space Force Base, focusing on vulnerability scanning, system hardening, and documentation.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus some IT/cyber experience, and an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant IT/cyber experience required.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required (within 3 months).
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance.
• Experience with Linux/Windows security and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing technical scans on hardware, OS, and software to identify vulnerabilities.
• Configure Linux and Windows systems to mitigate vulnerabilities under supervision.
• Support IS0 in managing cybersecurity requirements for Space System Command roles.
• Install, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools (Trellix, HBSS, ACAS, SolarWinds).
• Document procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives.
