Job summary

Abacus Solutions Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist (RMF) to support a mission at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM. This onsite role focuses on maturing RMF processes to achieve timely and compliant system authorizations.

You will guide RMF activities, maintain essential documentation such as System Security Plan, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, and POA&M, and work with eMASS and standard Microsoft tools to strengthen risk management across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM field, plus 9 years of relevant experience (four years may substitute).
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• RMF and ATO experience.
• eMASS experience.
• POA&M creation experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an integrated team to develop and maintain RMF body of evidence documentation such as the System Security Plan, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, and POA&M using eMASS and MS Office tools.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and design solutions using a wide range of cybersecurity tools.
• Maintain repositories of body of evidence for systems within your scope with access restricted to authorized personnel.
• Support identity management/rights management tools and implementation models.
• Apply PKI and other cryptographic best practices.
• Develop and execute security control assessment procedures to validate conformance with control requirements as part of continuous monitoring and authorization activities.
• Document security-related vulnerabilities and deficiencies in the POA&M.

Abacus Solutions Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist (RMF) to support a customer mission at Kirtland Air Force Base. This onsite role focuses on strengthening and maturing RMF (Risk Management Framework) processes so that system authorizations can be completed in a timely and compliant manner.

You will guide RMF activities, maintain required documentation, and help keep risk and security evidence current through ongoing assessment and continuous monitoring. Work centers on building and updating RMF body of evidence in eMASS and other productivity tools, along with executing security control assessment procedures and POA&M updates.

• Collaborate with an integrated team to develop and maintain RMF body of evidence documentation, including artifacts such as the System Security Plan, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), using eMASS and Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

• Maintain repositories of body of evidence documentation for systems within your scope and ensure information is accessible only to properly authorized individuals
• Support work involving identity management/rights management tools and implementation models

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: USD 120,000 - 141,000 per year, dependent on experience, skills, and certifications

Desired Skills

• IAT Level II or Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) certification
• Linux and Windows integration in a virtualized environment
• ESS and ACAS installation and management experience
• Experience with SCAP scans and STIG viewer
• Experience with patching and applying STIGs and other cyber technologies that implement security controls in military cyberspace operational environments (including firewalls, router ACLs, PKI, OWASP, scripting, identity management, virtualization, and related components)
• Experience with Static Code Analysis using tools such as Fortify
