Job summary

SPN Solutions seeks a Cybersecurity Specialist and ISSO Support in Fairfax, VA, to secure federal mission systems on premises and in the cloud. The role features hybrid work, a full-time W-2 arrangement, and an October 2026 start. You will manage continuous monitoring, ARM packages, and FISMA compliance while shaping security across Oracle-based platforms.

Required are 8+ years in federal cybersecurity with NIST RMF and POA&M experience, plus CISSP/CISM/CASP+ credentials and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in federal cybersecurity with NIST RMF and continuous monitoring.
• CISSP or CISM or CASP+ with equivalent experience.
• Hands-on vulnerability management and POA&M under NIST SP 800-53.
• Experience supporting an ISSO on a FISMA Moderate or High system.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an HHS Tier 2 public trust determination.

Responsibilities

• Support the ISSO for legacy and cloud systems under NIST RMF: control implementation, assessment support and authorization packages.
• Run continuous monitoring: vulnerability scanning, analysis, remediation tracking against federal timelines, and POA&M currency.
• Maintain system security plans, contingency plans, privacy and security artifacts, and assessment evidence.
• Conduct privileged access reviews, audit log review and configuration compliance checks; coordinate patching priorities with the infrastructure team.
• Advise on security impact of changes before they are made, across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Support incident response, FISMA reporting and audits, and keep compliance evidence current.
