Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support mission-critical government information systems and networks. This on-site role is based in Quantico, VA.

You will lead vulnerability management, ensure security compliance, and perform system hardening across Windows Server and RHEL environments, applying STIGs and IA requirements. Active secret clearance and IAT Level III certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Active IAT Level III Certification (CISSP, CASP+, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCNP Security, or equivalent).
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• 10+ years of experience in IT/Cybersecurity, IA, or related field.
• Military or Marine Corps experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures for networks and enterprise environments.
• Manage vulnerability assessments, remediation, POA&M tracking, and reporting using ACAS.
• Administer Windows Server and RHEL environments while supporting IA requirements.
• Apply security patches, perform system hardening, and implement STIGs.
• Support security operations with HBSS, PKI, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and other cybersecurity tools.

Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support a company focused on securing and maintaining mission-critical government information systems and networks. This position is on-site in Quantico, VA. The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for vulnerability management, security compliance, system hardening, and the implementation of cybersecurity best practices across enterprise environments. Join a team dedicated to protecting critical systems that support national security and military operations.

Responsibilities for the Cybersecurity Specialist include:

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures for communication systems, networks, and enterprise environments
• Manage vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, POA&M tracking, and reporting utilizing ACAS (Tenable Nessus/Security Center)
• Administer and secure Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments while supporting Information Assurance (IA) requirements
• Apply security patches, manage system hardening efforts, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Support security operations through the use of HBSS, PKI, firewalls, IDS/IPS technologies, VPNs, and other cybersecurity tools

Required Qualifications for the Cybersecurity Specialist include:

• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Systems Administration, or a related field
• Experience utilizing ACAS (Tenable Nessus/Security Center) for vulnerability scanning, patch management, compliance reporting, and POA&M tracking
• Experience with cybersecurity technologies including HBSS, McAfee ePO, PKI, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, auditing, and security compliance programs
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Active IAT Level III Certification required (CISSP, CASP+, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCNP Security, or equivalent)
• Active Secret Security Clearance required
• Military or Marine Corps experience is highly preferred

Compensation for the Cybersecurity Specialist include:

• Salary Range: competitive depending on experience
