Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $175,000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do
The Specialist Cybersecurity Engineer will be part of a global team of security experts driving a ‘Security by Design’ philosophy in Eaton product and solutions. This position will coordinate, advocate, and lead cybersecurity activities across various product groups within Eaton. This is a hybrid work schedule based out of Moon Township, PA with up to 10% travel. Relocation assistance offered.
- Serve as the cybersecurity technical leader for driving Secure Product Development processes across various divisions.
- Collaborate with Eaton Product Cybersecurity CoE to help define hardware/software cybersecurity requirements for Eaton products.
- Coordinate the Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing of existing and upcoming Eaton Cyber-Physical products and solutions spanning technologies including microprocessors/silicon components, FPGAs, IoT devices, systems and solutions, cloud infrastructure, web/mobile/thick clients, wireless devices, and embedded systems, in line with cybersecurity standards.
- Lead Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment exercises early in the design and throughout the development lifecycle to identify cybersecurity requirements, in consultation with Product Cybersecurity COE experts.
- Provide hands-on guidance to product teams as they implement cybersecurity features and requirements by creating cybersecurity concepts.
- Collaborate with Product Cybersecurity COE to build/deploy and maintain security tools and automation frameworks to improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support DevSecOps teams with automation of cybersecurity best practices.
- Deliver technical security trainings to Technical Leaders, Cybersecurity Engineers, software developers, and test engineers; promote the importance of cybersecurity across functions such as product/project management and sales/services.
- Work with the marketing function to build collateral that highlights a “Secure-by-design” approach and cybersecurity certification.
- Monitor evolving threat landscape, technologies, standards, and frameworks applicable to different domains and drive continuous improvement of Eaton’s cybersecurity requirements, frameworks, and processes to address the external landscape.
- Represent Eaton in cybersecurity standardization bodies and maintain professional qualifications and credentials as a thought leader in Critical Infrastructure cybersecurity.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 8 years of product development experience that includes 3 years in product cybersecurity.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible and considered for this position under applicable U.S. Federal Government contract requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:- Two or more professional certifications: CISSP, CSSLP, GIAC, OSCP or CEH.
