Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a cybersecurity software engineering student for an internship in the Defense Systems Sector, Clearfield, UT. The role supports security assessments, certification and accreditation activities, and compliance with DoD RMF guidance.

Candidates must be full-time students pursuing an undergrad or graduate degree, available for 10 weeks in Summer 2027, and able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an undergrad or graduate program for Fall 2027.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or Information Assurance Systems.
• Able to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of weapon system components and networks per configurations and policies.
• Support security certification and accreditation efforts including testing, documentation, and audits.
• Provide security analysis and design support to comply with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF guidance.
