Job summary

MBL Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead cybersecurity, cloud security, and IT initiatives for a large Federal government environment.

The role centers on translating customer needs into actionable objectives while coordinating cross-functional teams in security architecture, engineering, and authorization activities. The candidate will manage A&A/ATO activities, ensure compliance with FedRAMP and RMF, and support secure solutions across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Information Security experience, including at least 1 year of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience with a large Government agency.
• Experience translating customer requirements and communicating technical and project requirements to delivery teams.
• Experience managing IT and cloud design, cybersecurity, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts.
• Strong knowledge of Federal A&A and ATO activities.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP and RMF requirements.

MBL Technologies is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and coordinate cybersecurity, cloud security, and information technology initiatives supporting a large Federal government environment.

The Cybersecurity Project Manager will provide project leadership across cybersecurity architecture, engineering, cloud, and system implementation efforts while serving as a key liaison between the customer and technical delivery teams. This individual will translate customer requirements into actionable technical and project objectives, manage competing priorities, and ensure cybersecurity initiatives are delivered in accordance with Federal security policies, standards, and authorization requirements.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of project management expertise and hands‑on knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, engineering, cloud security, Federal A&A, Authority to Operate (ATO), FedRAMP, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Work Location: This position is primarily remote; however, the Project Manager must be available to attend occasional onsite meetings in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity and cloud security projects supporting Federal government environments.
• Manage cybersecurity initiatives involving IT and cloud design, security architecture, systems engineering, development, implementation, and authorization.
• Serve as a primary interface between customers, program leadership, cybersecurity teams, engineers, architects, developers, and other technical stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, and translate customer requirements into clearly defined project objectives, technical requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cybersecurity architecture and engineering activities to ensure solutions meet mission, technical, security and compliance requirements.
• Lead and support Federal Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities throughout the system lifecycle.
• Coordinate cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and authorization activities in accordance with FedRAMP and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
• Ensure projects and technical solutions align with applicable Federal cybersecurity policies, processes, standards, and security requirements.
• Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resources, and deliverables.
• Identify cybersecurity and project risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation and remediation activities with technical teams and customer stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings, technical discussions, status reviews, and customer briefings.
• Track project performance and provide clear status updates, risk assessments, recommendations, and escalation items to customer and program leadership.
• Coordinate across multidisciplinary technical teams to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated throughout design, development, engineering, and implementation activities.
• Maintain accurate project, security, authorization, and compliance documentation to support program requirements and successful delivery.

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of Information Security experience, including at least 1 year of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience supporting a large Government agency.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management, security architecture, and security engineering.
• Experience translating customer requirements and effectively communicating technical and project requirements to delivery teams.
• Experience managing IT and cloud design, cybersecurity, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts.
• Demonstrated expertise implementing and managing cybersecurity solutions within Federal and/or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
• Experience with cybersecurity architecture and engineering requirements and security authorization frameworks, including FedRAMP and RMF.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Federal cybersecurity policies, processes, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical teams and stakeholders across complex cybersecurity initiatives.
• Strong project management, organizational, problem‑solving, and risk‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel, customers, and senior leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a High‑Risk Public Trust clearance.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration - Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or a related field.
• Certification in one or more of the following: Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III, Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III, Information Assurance System Architects and Engineers (IASAE) Level III.
• IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III certification may be substituted for the relevant bachelor’s degree requirement or four years of relevant experience, as permitted by the position requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience managing cybersecurity projects for large Federal agencies.
• Experience coordinating cloud security initiatives and Federal cloud authorization activities.
• Experience working directly with cybersecurity architects, engineers, system owners, security personnel, and Federal program leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical workstreams in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment.
• Experience presenting cybersecurity project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to Federal customers and senior leadership.
