Job summary

Credence seeks a senior Cybersecurity Professional to support the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on cyber resiliency, vulnerability assessment, and secure development for aeronautical weapon systems.

The candidate will have DoD cyber certifications, extensive testing experience, and the ability to implement security controls and response plans across multiple domains.

Qualifications

  • DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Incident Responder, IAM Level III, or IAT Level III certification.
  • Penetration testing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support cybersecurity tasks to bolster cyber resiliency and defense for CROWS.
  • Assist with security activities in development, acquisition, and sustainment of weapon systems and related software.
  • Support information, personnel, physical, industrial, and communications security.
  • Develop and implement security classification guidance and control overlays.
  • Identify cyber analyses to assess criticality, risk, and mitigation feasibility for legacy and other systems.
  • Contribute to creation of a security scorecard to monitor requirements, controls, and incidents.
  • Provide rapid response engineering and remediation actions for critical supportability problems.

Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for a Cybersecurity Professional at the senior level who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

CROWS is organizationally located under AFLCMC/EN-EZ with mission responsibility for ‘baking in’ cyber resiliency into new weapon systems and mitigation of ‘critical’ vulnerabilities in fielded weapon systems.

CROWS is primarily located at two locations: Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) and Wright-Patterson AFB. There are CROWS personnel located in various locations throughout the AF to provide cyber resiliency support. The major functional areas within CROWS are as follows:

  • CROWS Leadership
  • Acquisition Support to increase system security engineering principles into acquisition community
  • Manpower, Education and Training
  • Intelligence integration to increase cyber posture
  • Management of data reporting and tracking of cyber vulnerabilities and risks
    • Data capture, repository and analytics to enable risk-based decision making
    • Inquiry management and adjudication to respond to external inquiries on cyber posture
    • Gap analysis of cyber risks for a comprehensive understanding of risk
  • Vulnerability and Risk Assessment Projects
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:
  • Accomplish cybersecurity tasks necessary to support cyber resiliency and cyber defense initiatives for CROWS.
  • Assist with technical security activities related to the development, acquisition, and sustainment of aeronautical weapon systems, subsystems, and associated support systems such as software code reviews, vulnerability assessments, program protection plans (PPPs), and threat scenarios.
  • Assist with implementation of information, personnel, physical, industrial, and communications security.
  • Assist with program protection, technology control, protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and other information requiring protection, ensuring compliance with related DoD and DAF instructions.
  • Support development and implementation of common cybersecurity classification guidance.
  • Assist in the development of security control overlays.
  • Support the identification of current and future cyber analyses to understand and classify the criticality, risk of occurrence, and feasibility of mitigation strategies for legacy systems and other systems.
  • Support creation and implementation of a security scorecard for monitoring requirements, controls, oversights, and incidents.
  • Provide rapid response engineering service and support as augmentation to organic resources through in-depth problem identification, impact assessment, and development of corrective actions for critical supportability problems within the scope of CROWS.
  • Provide consultation on cyber-related training.
  • Support cybersecurity incident response efforts and/or teams as needed.
  • Assess the effectiveness of cybersecurity and cyber-resilient measures across the enterprise.
  • Review cyber risk mitigation strategies and identify security gaps as needed.
  • Provide implementation plans, standard operating procedures, and other cyber documentation.
  • Must have an active or current Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
  • OR bachelor’s degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
  • OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) years of which must be in the DoD.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience Required.
  • The candidate shall have DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Incident Responder, IAM Level III, or IAT Level III certification.
  • The candidate shall have penetration testing experience.
