Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager for IAM Platform Operations to lead global teams in delivering secure, reliable, and scalable IAM services.

You will drive automation, DevOps practices, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve monitoring and incident response across the platform. Ideal candidates have leadership experience in platform operations, cloud, and enterprise tech, plus a strong background in SRE and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing platform operations, infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise technology teams.
• Proven experience leading globally distributed teams, offshore delivery organizations, and managed service providers.
• Strong understanding of service management, platform operations, monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering principles.
• Experience working highly available business-critical platforms in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated success driving automation, operational transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern platform engineering approaches.
• Understanding of AI-enabled operations and practical applications of AI to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Effective communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated success developing high-performing technical teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead IAM platform operations and engineering teams responsible for platform availability, reliability, performance, and resiliency.
• Manage globally distributed teams and offshore service delivery partners, driving accountability, operational excellence, and customer-focused outcomes.
• Establish and support operational standards for monitoring, incident response, service restoration, platform health, and operational readiness.
• Drive automation and DevOps practices that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and increase platform stability and scalability.
• Enable AI-powered operational capabilities that improve monitoring, operational insights, knowledge management, anomaly detection, and automated remediation.
• Define and measure service performance through KPIs, SLAs, SLOs, and platform health metrics.
• Lead platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, modernization, capacity planning, resiliency improvements, and technical debt reduction.
• Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to deliver secure and dependable IAM platform services.
• Manage vendor relationships, managed service providers, operational budgets, and workforce planning activities.
• Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Cybersecurity Manager – IAM Platform Operations

This position manages the engineering, operations, reliability, automation, and service delivery of Caterpillar's Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform ecosystem. • Strong understanding of service management, platform operations, monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering principles.

Top Candidates Will Have:

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar credentials.
• Experience supporting enterprise IAM platforms and technologies.
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), operational observability, and service resiliency practices.
• Experience implementing automation, orchestration, self-service, or self-healing platform capabilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, or similar technologies to improve operational outcomes.
• Familiarity with AI governance, AI Operations (AIOps), and emerging platform engineering practices.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
