Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to help protect AbbVie’s systems, data, and applications across Cybersecurity, SOC, IAM, and Application Security during an 11-week onsite internship. You will monitor alerts, triage events, process access requests, and assist with secure code reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI or related majors with a minor or concentration in Cybersecurity.
• Graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028.
• Must be enrolled in university the semester following your internship and graduate within 1-year post internship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incidents; assist with vulnerability scanning and remediation; support security awareness initiatives.
• Perform initial triage of security events and alarms; elevate potential threats to senior analysts; maintain logs and incident records.
• Process access requests and account provisioning; run access reviews and audits; support password management and authentication troubleshooting.
• Support secure code review and testing; assist with application vulnerability assessments.
