Job summary

Apex Cybersecurity Solutions Inc. is seeking an Information Security Analyst to oversee open security findings and drive remediation across multiple security domains. The role requires effective stakeholder engagement, clear expectation setting, and diligent follow-up to maintain the organization's security posture.

Responsibilities include vulnerability testing, implementing security controls, and coordinating with internal teams and MSPs. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT security or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience in Security Engineering, Threat Response, Security Operations, IT Operations, IT Compliance and/or IT Governance.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Assesses and evaluates systems to identify weaknesses and perform vulnerability testing.
• Implements new or upgraded security measures or controls, and documents changes.
• Reviews security violation reports or logs and coordinates with internal teams or MSPs as needed.
• Develops and executes security controls and defenses to intercept and prevent attacks across email, data, e-commerce and web systems.
• May advise on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of applications, OS and networks.
• Researches cybersecurity threats and performs root cause analysis.
• Assists in creating and implementing security solutions, including vendor assessments for security compliance.
• May perform remediation management, governance or escalations with vendors or operations issues.
• May serve as Level 3 support if MSP cannot resolve an issue.
• May review projects for alignment with Security Requirements and/or oversee MSP areas.
• Provides information to management, including dashboards, metrics and reports.
