Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineering Intern with a solid foundation in electrical/computer engineering or computer science. You will assist with reverse engineering, cyber testing, and prototype development in a lab setting, working under senior engineers and mentors.

Requirements include pursuing a degree in related fields, interest in cybersecurity, and basic programming skills (Python/C/C++), plus the ability to obtain DoD security clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• Working towards degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, software analysis, and/or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with basic programming (e.g., Python, C, or C++) and command-line interfaces (Linux/Unix).
• Interest in assembling/disassembling hardware or software systems for analysis and experimentation.
• Willingness to work in a secure environment and follow established security procedures.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance with enhanced security checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reverse engineering of software, firmware, and hardware systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support cyber testing and experimentation on operational and prototype platforms in a lab environment.
• Develop automation tools and analysis scripts (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Document findings and participate in technical discussions with engineers and mentors.
