CEDENT is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for a remote contract position in the United States. The candidate will manage IDS/IPS systems (FireEye NX, Cisco FirePOWER), oversee host-based security tools (FireEye HX, Defender, Symantec), and administer CyberArk PAM, with Nice-to-have exposure to Helix, ETP, and Splunk.

Strong communication and triage skills are essential.

Cybersecurity Engineer (Remote) job at CEDENT. Remote.

• Demonstrated experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and security frameworks.
• Significant experience in managing network IDS/IPS systems, including FireEye NX and Cisco FIREPOWER appliances.[MUST HAVE]
• Proficiency in managing host-based security infrastructure, such as FireEye Endpoint HX, Cb App Control, MS Defender, and Symantec Endpoint Protection.[MUST HAVE]
• Extensive experience in administering the CyberArk PAM solution.[MUST HAVE]
• Experience with the administration of FireEye Helix SIEM, HX, and Email Threat Protection (ETP) email security gateway. [NICE TO HAVE]
• Proficient in using Splunk and the Splunk Search Language (SPL). [NICE TO HAVE]
• Skilled in navigating, configuring, and troubleshooting various platform components, including email, endpoints, cloud apps, and threat hunting. [NICE TO HAVE]
• Experience with the administration of Varonis DatAdvantage and Imperva. [NICE TO HAVE]
• Proficient in using Microsoft Intune and managing different device platforms, such as Windows, iOS, and macOS, along with their applications. [NICE TO HAVE]
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong triaging and troubleshooting skills, with experience assisting Helpdesk teams.
• Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation

Hourly Rate Range - $40-$60/ hr
