Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation seeks a mid-level Cybersecurity Engineer II to design, deploy, and maintain advanced security controls across its information systems. You will work with encryption, IDS/IPS, MFA, and secure software development practices to safeguard assets and data in a high-security environment.

You will conduct vulnerability testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help ensure regulatory compliance while keeping pace with evolving threats and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• GIAC, CCNP or SANS level 200 certifications.
• Knowledge of secure software development.
• Knowledge of cyber supply chain threat monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain advanced security measures across information systems.
• Configure, deploy, and manage security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, MFA).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security in system design and development.
• Monitor incidents and alerts, respond to security events, and support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Address cyber supply chain threats and apply secure software development practices.
