Job summary

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience with IDS/IPS technologies and signature development.
• Familiarity with DoD security requirements and threat intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain enterprise IDS/IPS capabilities across networks.
• Troubleshoot sensor issues and analyze connectivity anomalies.
• Analyze security events with cybersecurity analysts to determine causes and responses.
• Develop customized IDS/IPS signatures based on threat intel and DoD needs.
• Create and test signatures before production deployment.
• Support security configurations, patching, and maintenance of IDS/IPS systems.
• Assist with SIEM data collection and correlation for IDS/IPS events.
• Research new IDS/IPS technologies and recommend improvements.
• Identify and analyze network threats and unauthorized devices.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and tool update tasks.
• Support disaster recovery testing for intrusion detection platforms.
