Job summary

Credence is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support AFLCMC/EB at Eglin AFB, FL. You will develop and review Armament cybersecurity policies, assess RMF processes, and ensure secure implementation across hardware, software, and cloud environments.

Ideal candidates hold TS/SCI clearance, a ABET-accredited engineering degree, and IAM Level II/III certification, with experience in SCRM, STIGs, and risk-based analysis to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of weapons systems.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required; DISS verification.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience in system security engineering, SCRM, risk-based analysis, and STIGs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and comment on Armament Cybersecurity Branch products or guidance documents.
  • Support the Weapons AO and SCA; assist RMF assessment.
  • Evaluate security design implementations for confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and non-repudiation.
  • Conduct hardware and software assurance assessments.
  • Represent the Armament cybersecurity team in meetings; assist in SCRM.
  • Provide customer support to program office on cybersecurity activities.
  • Conduct assessments for cloud systems (e.g., FENCES).

Credence has an immediate need for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support Air Force Lifecycle Management Center AFLCMC/EB at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The mission of the Armament Directorate is to equip warfighters by acquiring and supporting war-winning capabilities. In concert with the Directorate's mission is the vision to deliver affordable world-dominant armament capabilities?on time, on target. Led by the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Weapons, the directorate reports to both the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Washington D.C., and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The Armament Directorate is committed to enhancing worldwide Air Force combat capability and effectiveness through joint development, test, procurement, deployment, and product sustainment support for air delivered weapon systems. Directorate divisions align with Air Force core functions to include air dominance, direct attack, strategic systems, munitions sustainment, long range systems, miniature munitions, advanced programs, and test and training.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, review, and comment on Armament Cybersecurity Branch products or associated higher-level cybersecurity policies and guidance documents.
  • Support the Weapons AO and SCA as needed.
  • Advise and assist in reviewing and commenting on required program office artifacts and make recommendations to the Weapons SCA in support of the cybersecurity RMF assessment and authorization process.
  • Advise and assist in evaluating the technical implementation of the security design to ascertain that security software, hardware, and firmware features affecting confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and non- repudiation have been implemented.
  • Conduct hardware and software assurance assessments.
  • Represent the Armament Cybersecurity Branch in meetings and working groups to include developing and presenting approved briefings/positions and assist in SCRM.
  • Provide customer service to program office personnel for armament cybersecurity related activities.
  • Conducts assessments for cloud systems, particularly FENCES.
Requirements
  • Must have an active or current Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility, verifiable in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with technical and engineering acquisition support for embedded systems such as weapons systems
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with system security engineering to include SCRM, hardware and software assurance, program protection planning, risk-based analysis and running STIGs
  • Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II or III cybersecurity certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M, Cybersecurity Workforce Improvement Program and Section 4.6 (Cybersecurity Workforce Improvement Certification and Compliance)
  • Engineering candidates must have no less than a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an institution that administers at least one engineering degree (Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate) currently accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the ABET
  • Cybersecurity specialist candidates must have no less than a Bachelor's degree from an institution that administers a computer science degree currently accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of the ABET
  • Experience in cloud-based systems
