AfterQuery Experts is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Expert to design and evaluate security training scenarios for frontier AI labs. This fully remote, asynchronous role crafts realistic security analyses, threat models, and incident-response tasks, then reviews model reasoning to produce trustworthy training data.

You will work on turning practical security thinking into auditable exercises, documenting paths and mitigations so teammates can audit judgments and improve model reliability

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in security engineering, red team, or SOC work.
• Familiarity with common attack classes, detection tooling, and remediation practice.
• Ability to explain an attack path and its mitigation clearly in writing.

AfterQuery Experts is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer Expert to support frontier AI labs by building and evaluating security training scenarios. In this fully remote, asynchronous engagement, you will design realistic security analysis, threat modeling, and incident response tasks, then review model reasoning to help produce trustworthy training data.

The work is focused on turning practical security thinking into clear, auditable exercises that test how models judge risk, choose responses, and handle subtle failure modes.

Compensation and engagement

• Pay: USD $65-$80 per hour
