Job summary

Qualifications

• IT-I Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 5 at submission.
• DCWF Work Role 521: Intermediate proficiency.
• Baseline certifications CEH, Cloud+, CySA+, PenTest+, Security+.
• DCWF Work Role 441: NETOPS, Intermediate proficiency.
• Baseline certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA CEH, ISC2 SSCP, GIAC GSEC/GCIH/GICSP.
• Higher-level certifications (CCNP/CCSP/SecurityX/CASP+) mapped to 441 acceptable.
• F5 Certified Technology Specialist is ASM.

Job description

Cybersecurity Engineer 1 performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized cybersecurity problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems.

Minimum Experience:

• Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience

• DOD Secret Clearance

• Must possess IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5) at time of proposal submission

• Primary DCWF Work Role 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support; Proficiency Level: Intermediate

Baseline certification - candidate must possess one of the following certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Cloud+, CySA+, PenTest+, and Security+

• Secondary DCWF Work Role 441: Network Operations (NETOPS) Specialist; Proficiency Level: Intermediate

Baseline certification - candidate must possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), ISC2 SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), GIAC Certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, or GICSP

Note: Higher-level or advanced certifications mapped to Role 441 (such as CCNP, CCSP, or SecurityX/CASP+) also satisfy the intermediate requirement.
