Job summary

Mettler Toledo AG is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for the Columbus, Ohio location to protect data, systems, and infrastructure. The role focuses on security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

You will collaborate with IT, infrastructure, application, and business teams to strengthen controls. Key duties include monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, managing privileged accounts, and supporting access reviews and PAM processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (CS/IS/IT).
• Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls and password rotation.
• Experience in security operations, incident response, and threat detection.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and coordinate investigations with IT and business teams.
• Review security tools to identify suspicious activity and support containment and recovery.
• Manage privileged account inventories across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Analyze phishing and suspicious emails to assess risk and actions.
• Support periodic access reviews for privileged access ownership and approvals.
• Maintain PAM controls including credential handling and account lifecycle processes.
• Assist with threat hunting by preparing evidence, documentation, and control mappings.
• Collaborate with teams to improve security controls, processes and reporting.

Job description

As our Cybersecurity Engineer for our Columbus, Ohio location you will support the protection of our organization’s data, systems, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and Privileged Access Management (PAM). You will work closely with IT, infrastructure, application, and business teams to help strengthen security controls and improve the organization’s overall security posture.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor security alerts, tickets, and requests, and coordinate investigation and resolution with IT and business teams.
• Review security tools to identify suspicious activity, investigate potential incidents, and support containment and recovery efforts.
• Manage privileged account inventories, including administrative, service, and elevated access accounts across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Analyze phishing and suspicious emails, to determine risk and recommend appropriate action.
• Support periodic access reviews to confirm business need, ownership, and approval for privileged access.
• Help maintain PAM controls such as credential handling, password rotation, break-glass access, and account lifecycle processes.
• Assist with internal and external threat hunting by preparing evidence, documentation, and control mappings related to security and PAM.
• Collaborate with various teams to improve security controls, processes, and reporting.
