Job summary

Washington State University Everett invites applications for a 9-month academic year, full-time Scholarly Assistant Professor in the broad area of computer science with emphasis on cybersecurity. The position includes potential 2-year terms and renewal based on performance.

Teaching undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, CS, and CE is central, with collaboration across WSU programs and regional partners. Salary ranges from $95,000 to $105,000 for the 9-month academic year, per RCW guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Computer Science or a related discipline by December 15, 2026.
• Demonstrate strong teaching, communication, and leadership skills, and optionally bring real-world experience in cybersecurity tools and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, computer science, and computer engineering.
• Participate in continuous teaching assessment activities and service within the unit and campus.
• Collaborate with regional partners and other organizations including PNNL and cybersecurity initiatives.
