Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University’s SEI in Arlington, VA seeks a senior data scientist to advance cybersecurity research for government and industry clients. You will identify where statistical techniques help tackle problems, plan prototype solutions, and build final products with top researchers.

You will co-author research proposals, execute studies, and present findings at conferences and to DoW sponsors. Expect travel as needed and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience in predictive modeling and data science for cybersecurity applications.
• Strong programming ability in Python and/or R with statistical packages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to identify areas where advanced statistical techniques can improve cybersecurity problems.
• Plan and develop prototype solutions and build final products.
