Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is hiring a Cybersecurity Data Engineer to transform vulnerability and security data into actionable insights for security and engineering teams. You will build data pipelines with Python and SQL and create dashboards using Power BI or Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate has strong data engineering, cybersecurity, or combined experience, with 3–5+ years in the field, and experience handling vulnerability data and large datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with data pipelines/ETL experience.
• Experience with security data, vulnerability data, and BI dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze data from vulnerability scans and security tools.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for security data.
• Use Python to automate processing, analysis, reporting, and workflows.
• Use SQL to query databases and develop reporting datasets.
• Transform raw security data into clean, usable datasets.
• Build Power BI and Microsoft Fabric dashboards and reports.
• Develop KPIs to measure security posture and track trends.
• Analyze large security datasets for risks and vulnerabilities.
• Support security reporting via data warehousing and ETL.
• Automate repetitive security data and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, and compliance teams.
