Innova Solutions is actively hiring a Systems Application Analyst for a 12-month contract located in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on developing specifications, aligning with architecture standards, and refining data handling processes.

The candidate will specialize in Palo Alto XSOAR automation, Cortex XDR, and building xSOAR playbooks to automate security workflows and strengthen threat detection and response capabilities. Strong scripting skills and API integration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years in cybersecurity focusing on automation and orchestration.
• Experience with Palo Alto XSOAR administration and playbook development.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XDR for threat detection and response.
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Experience integrating XSOAR with APIs and third-party security tools (SIEM, ticketing, threat intel).
• Understanding of incident response, threat hunting, and security operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer systems specifications addressing business requirements and align with system architecture standards.
• Revise existing systems to improve data handling, conversion, I/O, and storage.
• Design, develop, and maintain xSOAR playbooks; automate security workflows.
• Administer the xSOAR environment to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
