Interclypse is supporting several Maryland state agencies in the modernization and sustainment of critical systems. This exciting opportunity provides candidates with the ability to contribute to the long‑term health and success of the state while continuing to learn and grow professionally within Interclypse’s growth mindset culture.

All positions are required to be on‑site at various locations in Maryland.

Position Summary: Provides expertise in the most current principles and practices of architecture data management systems and experience in large system designs. Leads the development and implementation of a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) roadmap for cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises environments, ensuring alignment with government, or organizational standards like NIST SP 800‑207. Acts as the chief architect in major IT implementation efforts, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior staff, and demonstrating excellence in written and verbal communication.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

General Experience: At least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT systems.

Specialized Experience

• At least seven (7) years of the required experience must be in the direct design and implementation of enterprise‑level cybersecurity architectures.
• Must have demonstrated experience leading the architectural design of major IT security projects, with deep expertise in Zero Trust principles, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and NIST frameworks (e.g., Cybersecurity Framework, SP 800‑53).
