Job summary

McKesson Corporation hosts a Cyber Academy, a 24‑month rotational development program for early‑career cybersecurity professionals. You will gain hands‑on experience across security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, risk assessment, incident response, and security engineering.

The program focuses on healthcare technology security, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and structured learning with mentorship opportunities. Hybrid onsite work 2–3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree completed within the past 12 months.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity threats, risk management and security principles.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash/JS) for automation and data analysis.
• Foundational networking and system concepts (TCP/IP, OS, auth, access controls).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week at a McKesson location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, events, and indicators of compromise.
• Support threat detection, vulnerability management, and risk reduction activities.
• Assist with incident response investigations, documentation, and remediation efforts.
• Use cybersecurity tools to identify, analyze, and help prevent threats.
• Collaborate with technology, engineering, and application teams to strengthen security controls.
• Support IAM processes and access governance activities.
• Contribute to DevSecOps by integrating security into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Cyber Academy rotations and mentorship programs.
