Job summary

Apelio in Austin, Texas is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard our digital infrastructure against evolving threats. You will monitor systems, analyze logs, detect anomalies, and respond to incidents to protect company data.

You will perform threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and coordinate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities, with growth paths toward Security Engineer or SOC Lead including certifications and wellness perks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Bachelor’s in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field; Security+ or CEH preferred.
• Experience with threat detection and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools such as Splunk or ELK.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Ability to communicate risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor logs, review security alerts, and coordinate with IT to patch vulnerabilities.
• Perform penetration testing and simulate attacks.
