Job summary

Cabrillo Coastal General Insurance Agency is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our information systems and data. You will investigate security incidents, administer security technologies, and partner with IT teams to implement safeguards and remediation actions.

The role emphasizes incident response, vulnerability management, and continuous improvement of security controls across endpoints, networks, and identity systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Security incident investigation and response experience.
• Experience reviewing security alerts, logs, or suspicious activity.
• Strong understanding of endpoint, network, and identity security principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Leads and/or performs investigations of suspected cybersecurity incidents, including phishing, compromised accounts, malware, ransomware, unauthorized access.
• Reviews, analyzes and correlates alerts from endpoint, identity, firewall, email, network, cloud and other security technologies.
• Coordinates incident containment, eradication and recovery activities; documents actions and conducts post-incident reviews.
• Administers and improves security technology suite including endpoint security tools and IAM/MFA solutions.
• Reviews security configurations and policies; recommends changes and new security capabilities.
• Assists with audits, regulatory examinations and cyber-insurance requests by providing evidence and responses.
• Develops security runbooks, procedures and documentation for operations.
