Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional in Highlands Ranch, CO to lead advanced security monitoring, investigations, and incident response activities. You will analyze complex threats, guide incident response, and drive security improvements while mentoring junior analysts.

You will leverage SIEM/XDR tools, stay ahead of threats, and coordinate CSIRT efforts. A 5-year IT services background and a bachelor’s degree are required, with a bonus eligible for strong performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in IT services.
  • Experience with AI, SIEM platforms, vulnerability risks and mitigations, XDR/EDR, IDS, incident response, malware defenses.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems, products, services, and applications.
  • Security certification is a plus.
  • Linux experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create standard deployment methodologies for security infrastructure.
  • Maintain the CSIRT and coordinate the CSIRT.
  • Supervise implementation of new security systems/technologies.
  • Support Security & Systems teams through training and knowledge transfer and operate as Lead for Security Operations best practices.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
  • Mentor junior analysts and share knowledge.
  • Recommend improvements to security controls and monitoring.
  • Recognize risks associated with shadow AI and unauthorized AI applications.
  • Leverage AI to increase efficiency, accelerate investigations, and improve overall security effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

General Summary of Duties

Responsible for advanced security monitoring, investigation, and incident response activities while supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations. This position independently analyzes complex threats, leads incident response efforts, recommends security improvements, and serves as a technical resource for junior analysts. This role helps drive operational excellence through process improvements, security tool optimization, and knowledge sharing across the cybersecurity function.

Essential Functions
  • Create standard deployment methodologies for security infrastructure.
  • Maintain the Computer Security Incident Response Plan and coordinate the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
  • Supervise implementation of new systems/technologies as it pertains to security.
  • Support the Security & Systems teams through training and knowledge transfer and operate as Lead for Security Operations best practices.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
  • Mentor junior analysts and share knowledge.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in IT services desired along with broad knowledge of technology products and services.
  • Work experience with AI, SIEM platforms, vulnerability risks and mitigations, XDR/EDR, IDS, incident response, malware defenses.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems, products, services, and applications.
  • Security certification is a plus.
  • Linux experience is a plus.

Salary Range

$85,879.00/yr. - $101,034.00/yr., depends on experience.

Bonus Potential

Eligible for 10% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance.
