Job summary

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst I to monitor security systems, analyze threats, and support protection of enterprise and OT environments. The role focuses on investigation of alerts, incident response, vulnerability management, and collaboration with IT teams to strengthen security across our 24/7 transit operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity/IT/CS.
• 2+ years in information technology or cybersecurity-related work.
• Experience with security monitoring or incident response activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security alerts and anomalies; escalate per procedures.
• Assist with incident response, containment, and remediation.
• Support vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.
• Help maintain security documentation and undergo audits.
