Job summary

Hired in Tucson, AZ seeks an Information Systems Security Officer to secure classified systems through authorization, continuous monitoring, configuration management, audits and incident response.

The role requires Active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph, 1–2 years ISSO or classified cybersecurity experience, and IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within three months. You will operate under JSIG, RMF and NIST standards and support inspections.

Job description

• Payout: Analyst/ISSO 1: $80,000–$90,000 (minimum one year experience)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to secure classified systems through authorization, continuous monitoring, configuration management, audits, and incident response.

• Perform ISSO duties under JSIG, RMF, and NIST security requirements.
• Maintain security plans, action plans, monitoring reports, audit logs, and authorization materials.
• Validate controls, conduct audits and risk analysis, manage changes and baselines, investigate security events, and support inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.
• One to two years of ISSO or classified-systems cybersecurity experience.
• Security auditing, continuous monitoring, control documentation, hardened operating systems, vulnerability/compliance tools, and configuration-management experience.
• Current IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain it within three months.
• Strong technical writing, collaboration, independent-work, and communication skills; ability to lift 25 pounds.
• At least one to two years of direct configuration-management experience.

More About the Opportunity:

• Occasional after-hours support and travel as needed are part of the role. Preferred: risk-management-framework and security-policy knowledge; security monitoring, log-analysis, endpoint-management, encryption, vulnerability-management, and Linux hardening/administration capability.
