Job summary

The team works on the USARC CSS program to defend large networks and systems across multiple sites, with opportunities to grow in cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years RMF/Information Assurance experience.
• DoD 8140 certification required (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE).
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience using RMF workflow tools such as eMASS and XACTA.
• Understanding of DR, COOP, IRP and BCP processes and testing.
• Understanding of IAVM and STIG.
• Experience supporting federal DoD/DISA customers.

Responsibilities

• Assess RMF documentation and assure compliance.
• Provide support for training programs.
• Assist with Site Assisted Visits (SAVs) including plans and reports.
• Ensure government data transfer requirements are implemented.

The USARC Cybersecurity Support Services (CSS) program works to maintain protection, detection, and reaction capabilities across multiple geographic locations to proactively defend the large networks, information systems, and applications that sustain global force readiness. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to travel to USAR sites to perform Site Assistance Visits (10%-20% travel).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assessing Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and assuring compliance
• Providing support for training programs to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
• Assisting with Site Assisted Visits (SAVs) including following a SAV Plan, implementation of inspection checklists and generating any required reports
• Assuring all government mandated requirements associated with data transfers are implemented and functional
• Assisting with product/correspondence generation and review
• Carrying out general cybersecurity program support

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• A comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity policies and compliance requirements, as well as the ability to ensure that programs and systems adhere to these standards
• In-depth understanding of information assurance frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both stakeholders and team members effectively
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences when needed
• A willingness to uncover, document and communicate deviations from planned outcomes in order to improve processes and prevent recurrence
• A passion for continuous learning and a commitment to stay updated with the latest trends, threat, and technologies as they emerge

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience (preferred)
• DoD 8140 certification REQUIRED (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience using A&A/RMF workflow tools such as eMASS and XACTA
• Understanding of DR, COOP, IRP and BCP processes and testing
• Understanding of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
• Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• Experience supporting federal customers, DoD/DISA preferred
