Job summary

The New York State Department of Financial Services seeks a Deputy Superintendent for Cybersecurity Intelligence to lead the Division’s collection and analysis of threat, incident, and risk information and to strengthen cyber preparedness across the financial services sector.

Under the direction of the agency’s Executive Deputy Superintendent for Cybersecurity, this role guides engagement with government partners and industry to identify emerging risks, develop intelligence-informed guidance,

Qualifications

• 14 years of specialized experience leading or advising IT/cybersecurity teams, including 5 years in a managerial capacity
• Advanced degree(s) in IT, cybersecurity, public policy, risk management, or law preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads Cybersecurity Intelligence Unit personnel.
• Analyzes cyber threats and trends and develops actionable recommendations for DFS-regulated entities.
• Develops alerts, advisories, and guidance for DFS-regulated entities.
• Develops policies and procedures for the Intelligence Unit and Cybersecurity Division.
• Coordinates with federal/state regulators, ISACs, and industry partners.
• Monitors intelligence and supervisory data to support risk monitoring and policy development.
