Zillion Technologies, Inc. in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Cyber Threat Engineer to develop and maintain automation, tooling, and threat-hunting workflows. The engineer will implement repeatable processes and integrations that support Threat Intelligence and operational security tasks.

Responsibilities include building YARA rules, Python-based utilities, and applying MITRE ATT&CK to detections. This is a long-term contract with hybrid onsite/remote work and a strong emphasis on engineering support

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field required; experience may substitute.
• Master's degree strongly preferred; equivalent advanced qualifications may be considered.
• Experience in cybersecurity engineering, security automation, or threat engineering.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and automated workflows for threat-hunting and intelligence operations.
• Create repeatable processes to ingest, enrich, transform, and operationalize threat intel data.
• Develop, test, and maintain YARA rules and detection processes.
• Create Python utilities to automate and scale workflows.
• Translate analyst requirements into reliable technical solutions and automations.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK framework to threat-hunting tools and detections.
• Integrate internal and external threat intel sources into workflows and tools.
• Validate tools, scripts, rules, and integrations before use.

• Maintain documentation and procedures for sustained capabilities.
