Responsibilities:
The Cyber Systems Security Engineer Sr is responsible for the integration, testing, and deployment of hardware and software, including embedded systems. This role involves:
• SIL Network Planning: Design and implement network architecture for Systems Integration Labs (SIL).
• Software Integration Support: Provide technical support for software integration processes.
• Virtual Machine Management: Create, manage, and maintain virtual machines.
• Rack Hardware Design and Installation: Design and install server racks and associated hardware.
• SIL Test Procedure Development: Develop, verify, and validate test procedures for SIL environments.
• System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with hardware and software systems.
• Documentation Maintenance: Modify and maintain system drawings, including SIL network architecture, layout, cable drawings, and rack drawings.
Qualifications:
• Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or related field, or equivalent experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificate (CompTIA Security+, CySA, CCNA Security, SSCP, or GSEC).
• Experience with networking technologies.
• Experience with virtualized environments.
• Experience with Windows Server.
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with storage solutions and servers.
• Desired Skills:
• Experience with advanced networking technologies (IGMP/multicast, OSPF, EIGRP, SNMP).
• Experience with VMware vSphere or Docker.
• Experience with Windows Server (2016-2022) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark/NPcap, Nmap, Cisco SPAN).
• Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment, Dell/HP storage solutions, and servers.
• Familiarity with embedded systems (ASIC or FPGA).
• Strong technical understanding of architecture, design, and security principles.
• Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP certifications or equivalent.
• Experience in avionics, SIL, mission planning, and I&T processes.
• Strong laboratory skills and flight test experience.
• Experience with Sub-System Integration, working in SIL, and troubleshooting integration anomalies.
• Experience with computing systems (processing, network, storage, display technologies).
• Experience creating, modifying, and maintaining system test procedures.
• Proficiency in cable fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting (BNC, ENET, RF, Fiber Optic, data).
• Experience with hardware component deployment and configuration management.
• Experience with LabView.
• Experience with RF design and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience working on complex and fast-paced programs.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
• Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
• Proven leadership and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to mentor junior team members.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools (Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Dockers).
