Job description

Basic Qualifications Required:
  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • TS/SCI with poly
  • Experience providing:
    • Technical direction for the development
    • Engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting system requirements reviews
    • Developing concepts of operation and interface standards
    • Developing system architectures
    • Performing technical/nontechnical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis
    • Developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems.
    • Developing technical documentation for issues and/or training

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events across enterprise systems and networks, identifying threats and vulnerabilities under general supervision.
  • Support integrated, dynamic cyber defense operations, maintaining and coordinating security toolsets that enable continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
  • Develop frameworks to measure and quantify cyber risk, helping organizations understand their security posture in real-world, mission-focused terms.
  • Determine security requirements by evaluating business needs, researching standards, conducting system and vulnerability assessments, analyzing architectures, identifying integration issues, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Implement advanced security systems, including intrusion detection methodologies, hardware/software installation and calibration, key management, technical support, and documentation.
  • Verify and validate security solutions by developing and executing test scripts to ensure system integrity.
  • Strengthen enterprise security posture by monitoring compliance with policies and standards, conducting incident response analysis, and developing and delivering security training programs.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and implement DoD IA architectures across computing, network, and enclave environments.
  • Ensure secure, mission-ready system architectures, including program-of-record systems and specialized processing nodes requiring platform IT interconnectivity.
