Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Managed Services Engineer III in Cyber Operate to lead advanced analysis of security events, validate escalations, and support threat hunting. You will analyze network and endpoint data with SIEM tools, develop detection content, and guide incident response with experienced teams.

This role requires rotating shifts for 24/7 client support and 10% travel. Ideal candidates have a degree in CS/IT and 2+ years in cybersecurity, with strong communication and project leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/CE or related IT discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 2+ years in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, Proxy, WAF, EDR, antivirus, sandboxing, firewalls, threat intelligence, and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced analysis of monitoring results and validate/ investigate escalated outputs.
• Perform root cause analysis and search related to threat intel; assist Threat Hunting; monitor new threat sources.
• Analyze network and endpoint data with SIEM and tools; analyze malware; create detection signatures.
• Advise on detection engineering content and response plans; document end-to-end event analysis and escalations.
• Draft new procedures and runbooks; track SOC SLAs; support Shift Leads and SOC Manager.
