COLSA seeks a Cyber Security Vulnerability Researcher (Advanced) to lead vulnerability research activities for U.S. Navy cyber programs. The role is based on-site at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, with a TS-SCI clearance requirement and potential as Key Personnel in proposals.

The position emphasizes technical leadership, team coordination, and delivering actionable security assessments and tool development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with cybersecurity vulnerability research and assessments.
• Must obtain DoD DCWF qualifications within 30 days of start.
• Must hold current TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors.
• Conduct research into cyber threats, adversarial tools, techniques, and mitigation solutions.
• Develop solutions focusing on system security and vulnerability.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments of local computing environments, networks, and applications.
• Analyze security of new or existing applications and provide actionable results.
• Perform risk analysis when systems undergo major changes.
• Identify issues and vulnerabilities in development and implementation of operations.
• Serve as functional lead coordinating tasking, progress tracking, and planning.
