Job description

Piper Companies is seeking a Cyber Security Support Engineer for an Information technology government-contractor in Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:

1. Lead the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the cybersecurity infrastructure.
2. Incorporate DOD-directed vulnerability solutions into the enclave systems and network designs, such as IAVA requirements.
3. Implement strategies such as blocking/filtering, IDS/IPS, anti-virus, logical traffic separation, content analysis, and DISA compliance.
4. Work with cybersecurity and project teams to meet engineering requirements.
5. Ensure secure backups with a documented plan and proper storage.

Qualifications for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:

1. 5+ years of Linux experience.
2. 3+ years experience working with IDS, IPS, and Host Based Security Solutions.
3. Experience with tools such as Kali, Burpsuite Professional, Python, and Bash.
4. Security+ Certification and Certified Ethical Hacker required.
5. BA/S in Computer Science or other related field.

Compensation/Benefits for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:

1. Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 **depending on experience**.
2. Comprehensive benefit package: Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, paid holidays.
