Applied Research Solutions invites a Cyber Security Specialist to support SOF AT&L, PEO-TIS. The role focuses on IA policy, vulnerability management, and risk frameworks for DoD systems. On-site at MacDill AFB, FL, the candidate will interact with senior staff and ensure compliant security packages.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IA, holds or can obtain TS/SCI, and possesses DoD IA certifications. Travel is expected up to 25% and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• TS/SCI eligibility.
• Security+ CE or DoD 8140 IAM Level I or higher.
• 5+ years IA experience.
• Education preferred in IT
• Background investigation required.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Interface with USSOCOM J62 for IA policy and guidance.
• Perform vulnerability scans and assessments.
• Remediate system vulnerabilities per STIGs and DoD policies.
• Generate DIACAP and RMF packages; obtain required authorizations.
• Collaborate with engineering and non-engineer personnel on IA matters.
• Assess emerging technologies, system integration, testing and evaluation.
• Consult with senior management on IA project matters.
• Work with XACTA, eMASS and other cyber tools as required.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers and other systems as needed.
• Apply RMF knowledge per DoD processes, policies, and directives.
