Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own the Cyber Security Review program and drive risk-informed decisions across Procurement, IT, Risk, and other functions. You will shape governance, standards, and implementation practices to embed security into projects and changes.

The role can be located in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE, with hybrid work: four days on-site and one day remote. You will partner with Engineering Service Lead to align strategy and improve security outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience in a large enterprise.
• Experience owning or leading a security review or risk program.
• Deep technical experience across a broad range of technologies.
• Experience engaging independently with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and governance of the Cyber Security Review program.
• Lead reviews of new technology projects and changes.
• Conduct re-reviews of existing critical applications.
• Manage external service provider supporting the security review process.
• Define metrics and reporting for program transparency.
